President of Ukraine upset with US-NATO:- Action needed, not promises
The fear of war
between Ukraine and Russia is increasing. To say that America and NATO are with
Ukraine, but from a statement of the President of Ukraine, it seems that all is
not right between them. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that his
allies are not taking sanctions-like measures against Russia, waiting for
Russia to attack Ukraine.
This statement
of Zelensky can boost Russia's spirits. On the other hand, so far no reaction
has been given by the US or NATO to this statement made on Saturday night.
Targeting America
According to a
New York Times report, Zelensky's statement is aimed directly at the Joe Biden
administration. America is saying every day that Russia can attack Ukraine at
any time, but it is not able to take tough decisions to rein in Russia.
This is what
Zelensky's statement was about. He said – what are you waiting for now? When
our economy is over, when many parts of our country will be occupied by the
enemy, then if you impose sanctions, then what will they be of use to us?
Zelensky made this statement during a security conference in Munich.
Mention of Crimea
Zelensky thanked
the Western countries for the cooperation so far. During this also mentioned
how Russia had annexed Crimea. He said- It is necessary for our friends and
allies not to make any agreement with Russia about our country without taking
us into confidence. We are not scared. If we are attacked, we also have to
respond.
This statement
of Zelensky is somewhat different from that of the US Vice President. Kamala
Harris had said that the security of the whole of Europe is under threat. The
US President is also repeating the same time and again. Zelensky seemed annoyed
by these statements. Said- When we go to the grave and then foreign soldiers
will come for help, we are not ready for this. We have not made any decision
about joining NATO. The avenues for dialogue are open.
Willing to talk to Putin
Zelensky said- I
want to talk to the Russian President himself. We have to find a solution to
any issue only through dialogue. The western countries did not help till we
faced the attack in 1994. When Soviet Russia broke up, our nuclear weapons
remained with Russia. Crimea was a part of our country, today it is occupied by
Russia. It is bigger than your Switzerland, Belgium and the Netherlands. I want
to make one thing very clear. We will protect our country. Whether you support
or not.
